Health to Heart Services offers all the training and certification for childcare workers, lifeguards, and others operating in an afterschool or summer camp environment.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
This course is designed for the rescuer who has a duty to respond. Includes recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children: two-rescuer CPR; use of resuscitation mask, bag valve mask and Automated External Defibrillator. A resuscitation (pocket) mask is required and can be purchased at the time of the class.

Respond to Emergencies
This First Aid instruction course is especially helpful for coaches/trainers and those who spend a lot of time outdoors. Participants are taught an action plan that applies to any emergency. Course fulfills New York State Department of Education requirements for coaching and the New York State Department of Health requirements for Camp Health Officers. A resuscitation (pocket) mask is required and can be purchase at the time of the class for $20.

Child Abuse and Maltreatment Workshops[ Maltreatment refers to the quality of care a child is receiving from those responsible for him/her. Maltreatment occurs when a parent or other person legally responsible for the care of a child harms a child, or places a child in imminent danger of harm by failing to exercise the minimum degree of care in providing the child with any of the following: food, clothing, shelter, education or medical care when financially able to do so.

Shaken Baby Syndrome and SIDS Workshops

Shaken Baby Syndrome
Shaken Baby Syndrome awareness is an excellent opportunity to emphasize the dangers of shaking an infant or young child. A preventable, often life-threatening injury, Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is responsible for 95% of serious head injuries in children under the age of one.

SIDS Workshop
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), crib death. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is the diagnosis given for the sudden death of an infant under 1 year of age that remains unexplained after a complete investigation. SIDS is the leading cause of death in infants aged 1 month to 1 year of age.
